Dennis Hill - President

As Vice President of Finance since 2000, Dennis was central to the growth and success of Elder-Jones and the cornerstone in the acquisition of Shrader & Martinez Construction.

A graduate from the University of North Dakota with a B.B.A. in accounting, Dennis managed finances, regulatory requirements, and risk, and participated in Elder-Jones’ strategic planning in the commercial construction industry for the past 19 years.

As President of SMC, Dennis provides leadership, long-range goals, strategic plans and policies with a hands-on leadership style that encourages team cohesion and professional growth.

He co-organizes and rides annually in the CEM900 in support of Kids ‘n Kinship, where he has also served on the board.  In his free time, Dennis enjoys cycling, traveling and relaxing with his family.

Justin Elder - Chief Executive Officer

As President Elder-Jones, Justin led the acquisition of Shrader & Martinez Construction in July, 2018 to expand construction and facilities services to clients.

Upon earning a B.A. in business management from Gustavus Adolphus College, he entered the commercial construction industry, where he rose quickly to lead the company.

Justin is a collaborative leader, empowering his management and staff to be adventurous, transparent, and to act with integrity.

Strongly principled to give back, Justin serves on the Board of Directors of the Retail Contractor’s Association and bikes in the Christian Elder Memorial 900 (CEM900), a 9-day, 900 km ride to raise money for Kids ‘n Kinship, a mentorship program for at-risk youth.  He also enjoys racing cars, flying planes, outdoor sports, and time with his family.

Travis Yorek - Vice President, Operations

Travis started with Elder-Jones in 1997 and was quickly promoted to Project Manager.

He worked with Cox Communications and soon Elder-Jones became the exclusive general contractor for over 80 projects throughout the country and in Canada. 

In 2018, Travis was invited to join the Shrader & Martinez Construction management team as Vice President of Operations.

Although he loves his native Minnesota, he willingly moved to Sedona and now enjoys mountain biking with his wife and son.

Mike Gunderson - VP of Finance

Mike started with Elder-Jones in 2019 as the corporate controller and quickly moved into the role of Vice President of Finance for both Elder-Jones and Shrader & Martinez Construction, in 2020.

A graduate of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, with a B.S. in accounting, Mike has many years of experience in finance from his years in public accounting working as a CPA and more recently in corporate accounting.

As VP of Finance, Mike enjoys working with his team to improve processes and find efficiencies. He also enjoys working with management on strategic planning for both companies.

Away from work Mike enjoys spending time with his family, attending his kid’s activities, camping in their travel trailer, and enjoying the Minnesota seasons, swimming in their pool in the summers and downhill skiing in the winters. He also enjoys volunteering as a leader for the local Cub & Boy Scouts and as a dog foster with a pet rescue, where he and his family have rescued ten dogs to date.

Greg Lucivansky - VP of Business Development

Greg has been with Elder-Jones since 2007, shortly after he graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a B.S. in construction management. He joined as an Assistant Project Manager and a short time later was promoted to Project Manager and began managing the construction for retail build-outs across the nation. In the years since, he has transitioned to roles of Senior Project Manager, Director of Construction Operations, and, most recently, to Vice President of Business Development.

He strives to develop new initiatives and ideas to continue improving on our project delivery process. Greg also plays an integral role in both Elder-Jones and Shrader & Martinez Construction’s marketing and growth development strategies. 

Driven by his desire to promote strong future leaders in our industry, Greg has served on the MSU Mankato Construction Management Department Industry Advisory Board since 2018. Greg is also a member of a subcommittee on the board that was formed to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within the construction industry. 

In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, following Minnesota sports teams, and volunteering for his kids’ youth sports activities.

Kathy Kelly - Manager of RRAM

Kathy joined Shrader & Martinez Construction in 2019 after moving from Minnesota to Arizona. Prior to SMC, she worked for 28 years in purchasing in the semiconductor industry, for Physical Electronics and Rudolph Technologies, including as the Purchasing Manager for Rudolph Technologies in Bloomington, Minnesota, for 8 years.

Most recently, Kathy was named as the new Manager of RRAM Services. Kathy has worked at SMC in various roles for the past two years, and she will be a valuable resource for everyone at RRAM Services and for all our clients.

Kathy is a 10 year participant in the Christian Elder Memorial 900 annual charity bicycle ride, benefiting the non-profit Kids ‘n Kinship, whose mission is to provide friendships to children ages 5-16 who are in need of positive role models. She also volunteers for the Kids ‘n Kinship gala each year.

In her spare time, Kathy enjoys walking, hiking, camping, spending time with her kids in Minnesota, and with her grandson in Arizona. She also especially loves spending time at her home in Phoenix.
